STAFF at the All Aboard charity shop in Ruislip High Street have built the charity’s first Free Kids Library inviting youngsters to take books and share their unwanted ones for free.

“Our first day started well with lots of books being taken. We are in urgent need of more children’s books for others to take and enjoy,” said All Aboard retail project manager Clare McEwan, who got the idea from a news article about the ‘Little Library’ craze in the US now taking a hold in this country.

“We get so many children’s books donated, some of which we’re unable to sell for one reason or another, so we decided to give them away and encourage young minds to read.

“If it’s a hit here in Ruislip, then we would like to see one at every All Aboard shop, of which there are 18 across London.”
