A YOUNG ballet dancer from Ruislip is to perform as Snowflake in the production of Snow White in the West End next month.
Cerys Fitzpatrick, 11, began dancing at the age of five and is currently rehearsing with 55 other young dancers every Sunday as part of the London Children’s Ballet group.
The cast of Snow White, aged 9-16, represents some of the best ballet talent from across the UK, performing at Sadler’s Wells Peacock Theatre from April 23-26.
Cerys’ mum, Claire, of Whitby Road, said: “She has now fallen in love with ballet.
“She caught the stage buzz after taking part in the English National Ballet School’s Christmas Workshop, and asked whether she could dance every day.
“Her interest has become her passion.”
The ballet is choreographed by previous English National Ballet soloist Jenna Lee, with an original music score by Richard Norriss.
Jenna said: “The commitment and passion from some of the young dancers has been overwhelming.
“Someone once said to me that choreographing for LCB changed their life. After working with the company over the past month, it’s easy to see why.”
