VINTAGE devotees enjoyed the sights and sounds of yesteryear at a charity fundraiser last weekend.

Visitors donned their best retro finery and indulged in tea, cake and nostalgia at the Michael Sobell Hospice Annual Vintage Affair last Sunday raising more than £4,000.

The Vintage Tea rooms were packed full of visitors who were treated to live music while they sat and enjoyed cream teas, with some even joining dance group Jive Swing.

Classic Cars were also on show from the Uxbridge and District Classic Vehicle Society and the Watford and District Classic Vehicle Club.

Volunteer event organiser Beverley Garber said: “This is the fifth year that we have planned this popular event.

“It is a lovely local day out, people can spend a few hours looking at lovely cars and browsing vintage stalls, while listening to some great music and enjoying a lot of good old-fashioned fun.”

Visitors also had the chance to snap up vintage bargains, get their hair styled for free and meet Jimmy Jam Tots Bear from the Windmill Studio in Ruislip Manor.
