The secretary of Uxbridge Cricket Club’s Colts teams has thanked a local sponsor after the team received some much-needed funding.

Annington, developers of the nearby Jupiter Heights off Vine Lane, has provided the club with £300 of sponsorship, which will go towards new cricket kit and equipment.

The club, which is located opposite Uxbridge Common, have junior teams ranging from under-10s to under-17s and also adult sides.

Abrar Dar, Uxbridge Colts’ secretary, said: “We are a vibrant cricket club with many junior teams and we are always grateful for the support of our sponsors who help the club continue to be the success that it is.

“We are delighted to receive this support from Annington and the funds will help acquire a range of new equipment and training aids for the Colts teams.”

Angela Walsh, head of sales and marketing at Annington, added: “Uxbridge Cricket Club is a fantastically well run club that offers so much to their junior teams.

“We are delighted to help support community initiatives and we wish all of the Colts the best of luck for the remainder of the season.”
